DARLINGTON — George D. Patterson, of Los Osis, Calif., and a former Darlington and Crawfordsville resident, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday in the Sierra Vista Hospital in San Luis Obispo, Calif. He had been ill five years and in the hospital one week. He was born in 1887 in Knightsville. He was married to Hazel Shoemaker at Crawfordsville Dec. 17, 1913. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Ward, of California; a grandson, Robert Ward Jr., of California, and a brother, William Patterson, of Indianapolis. Mrs. Patterson is the daughter of the late Mrs. Myrtle Haas of Darlington. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Benedict-Petty Funeral Home in Moro Bay, Calif., and burial will be in Los Osis.
